How They WorkAir flows through static vanes (plastic or metal) which causes the air to spin. These assemblies are designed and tested for today’s new alternative fuels: Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquid Propane Gas (LPG). CNG, LNG and LPG have the same problems that plague diesel and gasoline, particulate contamination collects during handling, water condenses in tanks, and compressors leak oil into the fuel stream.

The precision components necessary for the efficient operation of an alternative fuel system demand superior filtration. Racor anticipated the need for ultra-fine filtration at the pressures required by compressed natural gas. The answer is the industry’s first, most complete and most
efficient line of alternative fuel filters/coalescers.

FFC series filters are designed to protect critical engine components in CNG, LNG, and LPG powered vehicles. Contaminants can be introduced into a vehicle’s fuel tank when being fueled or may come from compressors and/or storage facilities. A grade 6 coalescing filter is specifically designed to remove oil, water, and solid contamination from compressed natural gas.
The patented coalescing filter removes 99.97% of all aerosols in the 0.3 to 0.6 micron range.

These fuel filter/coalescer elements are produced by a patented process of arranging micro-glass fibers into a tubular form. During operation, fuel is forced through the coalescing media from the inside of a cartridge through a tubular wall to the outside, where large droplets fall to the bottom of the housing. Oily water emulsion accumulates until drained while dirt particles remain trapped and collect on surfaces of fibers.

Old-style parabolic reflectors direct light into a

Sewn End Style has a rugged perforated steel core which is attached to pleated woven wire. The filter media covers the frame and end gaskets.
Molded End Style also has a sturdy perforated steel core. The filter media is pleated between two layers of woven wire. The core and pleated media is then sealed at both ends with a vinyl rubber seal.
Metal End Cap Style is similar in design to the Molded End Style except the core and pleated media is covered at both ends with a metal end cap.

• Fully enclosed base: Sturdy polycarbonate base or cast aluminum base, all strobe power supplies are encased within the base itself for added protection against moisture and vibration. • Silicone coated power supplies: For added protection against the elements, all strobe power supplies are double dipped in a uniquely formulated silicone mixture before being secured into the base enclosure. • External flange mount, internal "secure" mount, or pipe mount all in one: All 2000 Series strobe beacons come standard with a base that allows you to either: (1): 3 knock out holes for permanent "secure mount", (2): a sturdy built-in flange to externally mount beacon (except on cast base model) (3): a built-in 1" pre-threaded pipe mount. • Older style strobe beacons have been rendered obsolete as there is no longer a need for external hooks, base plates or inconvenient and expensive pipe adapter kits. • New optic, interchangeable domes: All 2000 series strobe beacons are now equipped with the newest state-of-the-art single lens optics to optimize their light output. • All beacons utilize the same low and high domes for ease of interchangeability. • All six safety colors are available: amber, clear, blue, red, green and purple. • Easy access for modular parts replacement: After removing two screws from the outer dome, you are able to easily access either the flashtube or the strobe power supply without removing the beacon from your roof. • Warranty: All Whelen "Value" 2000 Series strobe products offer a 3 year (from date of manufacture) or 2 year (from date of purchase) warranty on all strobe power supplies, and a 6 month warranty on all flashtubes.
